Tune Group

In 2001, Dato' Sri Tony Fernandes founded Tune Air Sdn Bhd with Dato' Kamarudin Meranun, with a vision to liberalize air travel at affordable fares. They bought the ailing airline for RM1 (US$0.25) and turned a 2 aircraft operation into the largest low cost carrier in Asia.
